The rape case that was the cynosure of the public had a 17 year old as a culprit . The culprit who had equal crimes to his account like the other five men but was separately tried in a Juvenile court. The reports suggested that he, along with driver Ram Singh, were involoved in the most barbarism
According to The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act 2000 the accused can be kept at the reform home only until he turns 18. After that, the accused cannot be sent to jail. While the heinous crime committed by the “minor” deserves death penalty , law suggests him to be released within 6 months.
Juvenile crime is a concern for many countries . The forcing of young kids to join gangs and exposing them violent acts have led to many male teenagers getting into brawls and a partner in heinous acts.It is a matter of concern how a child is to be treated who is proven guilty of atrocious acts.
The problem with Indian law is that if there are certain laws to prove a person culprit , there are even more to save the person. Ultimately Parliament’s prerogative which law or amendment it wants to enact. But any citizen or media, has every right to lobby for any legal reform it feels essential.
The complexity involved in the lowering the juvenile age is greater. The two principal justifications for granting legal concessions for punishment to an underage person includes that Firstly, the accused may not be mature enough to fully comprehend the gravity of the act done by him/her. Secondly, a juvenile accused is still vulnerable and has larger possibility than an grown-up to alter for the better.Lowering the age to consider a person a juvenile could be an option but again there could be chances of law being misused.A juvenile could be debilitated by the criminal minded people. Bogus certificates and records could be created enabling criminals to escape easily
But it can surely refrain a teenager boy to fear from law and not simply committing crimes and getting away with them.. It was suggested by court that a psychological examination should be conducted in this case. This is to be undertaken by psychologists who will examine the accused juvenile. The ability to justify good or bad will be considered . Their ability to do analysis of situation should be taken into account and not the written documents. There is certainly a need of stringer laws to deal with the rising outrage among juvenile

The Women Warriors
“The Army has stressed that women cannot be granted
permanent commission in the force because the bulk of the army's Junior
Commissioned Officers(JCOs) and other ranks hail from rural India who are not
yet ready to accept a woman as their leader in combat situations.”
The above Male chauvinism can be sensed from the above
statement made by the reputed officials .
It’s Time to
challenge the machismo: many of the world's armed forces have women as
commanding officers! Machismo according to me is phenomenon that has been thrown out
of the window since the inception of this the new era. The Indian armed forces isn't perhaps ready to join the 21st century?
If women could
rule the country in form of presidents, why cannot have women protecting it?
The Army cannot be justified in its claim that women cannot shoulder the
responsibility of protecting the nation.
The introduction
of new arms and ammunition should be the focus of the armed forces The weapons win the war not the men. And with
a shortage of over 33,000 (men) officers, its time the army gives permanent
commission to women.
Acccording to Delhi Commission of Women chairperson
Barkha Singh. "Women should be encouraged to apply and join the armed
forces. It is nature's rule that only women have the privilege to become
mothers and deliver babies.
If they get pregnant, they will obviously take maternity
leave. It is ridiculous to consider women unfit for the army"
If women can serve army for 10 -14 years they can anyways complete the 20 year service and enjoy the post-service incentives.
Presently women in army are inducted in short service
commission in various combat support . According to some officials women in the
army may sound good but in practical terms the arrangement has not worked well
in the Indian Army and as a concept also our society is not prepared to accept
women in combat role and this is the reason for women being taken only in
combat support role
Now the only point
that remains is about the patriarchal society and the mindset which
hinders the opportunity for women to get permanent commission in Indian Army.
I myself being an aspirant to join army , feel that my
parents are apprehensive about the fact that I will not get the job security
and might be Forced to retire.
So, I strongly feel that women should be allowed for
the permanent commission with their individual choice.

# FDI
Foreign direct investment (FDI) is a direct investment into production or business in a country by a company in another country, either by buying a company in the target country or by expanding operations of an existing business in that country In Year 2012 FDI was a cynosure of all the eyeballs as the government allowed FDI upto 51% in multi brand retail, 49% in the aviation sector, 74% in the broadcasting and media sector in lieu of ongoing liberalization. While everyone was skeptical about the actual benefits from FDI , our government held a strong grip upon the fact that the measures would create job opportunities and improve the finances of the nation by continuous flow of foreign capital in the Indian markets across the sectors. FDI showed some signs of relief to the common man who was crippled by the rising inflation but lead to horrendous state among small businessmen fearing the loss of business on 51% FDI being allowed to Multi Brand Retail outlets .
100% FDI is permitted for setting up of special Economic Zone.FDI could compliment the local development by boosting export competitiveness, employment generation and strengthening skills and enhanced financial resources for development.
The confidence shown by the investors in our economy . FDI could be among important sources of financing for Indian Economy. Consistency and transparency is to be adapted by Policy Makers along with comprehensive long term development strategy Investors would receive additional benefits. Their risk is reduced because they can diversify their holdings outside of a specific country, industry or political system. Diversification increases return without increasing risk.
Better standards of living could be achieved by recipient countries by higher tax revenue from the company that received the foreign direct investment. Businesses could be benefited by the well practiced management, accounting or legal guidance by their lenders. They can also incorporate the latest technology, innovations in operational practices, and new financing tools that they might not otherwise be aware of. Lifestyles of employees could be enhanced helping to create a better standard of living for the recipient country

Eve Teasing- A perpetual Evil
Eve teasing has become a perennial retest social problem in today’s modern society. Recently there have been incidents of Eve teasing leading to serious injuries and even death .
Eve teasing is a euphemism used for sexual harassment, street harassment and obscene behavior. It is a major issue in India, especially in metropolitans. A large percentage of Indian women have faced or are facing this menace. Women find themselves vulnerable to the threat of eve teasing everywhere. When a social change was taking place in conservative India 60’s with women venturing out for work, the giant movement of women emancipation came with its own side effects and one of them was eve teasing.
Eve teasing keeps surfacing in different forms. Right from a flirtatious comment to street harassment and molestation, it can turn ruinous for women. The problem with our society norms is that passing a comment or staring at a girl isnt categorised as a criminal activity. Eve teasing is multifaceted problem and it requires attention
No amounts of efforts and policies have proved to be particularly effective against this problem. To tackle it Moral Education should be ensured and Male-Female Relationship Should Be Explained Clearly to the Children. Socially, Awareness Rising Programmes Regarding Eve Teasing Should Be Launched. Besides, Empowerment of Women Should Be Ensured Through Eradication of Gender Discrimination
